I was born and raised in Mexico, and moved to New York during my high school years due to my father's line of work. I've been learning English as a second language since I was 4, and have acquired a very satisfactory level of English ability. I've worked as both a translator and an interpreter on projects ranging from simple translation work for forms and tests to being an interpreter in the OR for Operation Smile. I currently work as a bilingual teacher and aid with the translation, transliteration and revising/editing of many of our school documents, but in the past I worked as an English instructor for Berlitz International for both private groups and corporations such as Nissan. I'm always willing to learn more and I like being challenged, and translation work is constantly pushing you to learn about many subjects and areas. I think that is what I love the most about translating, how it motivates me to step out of my comfort zone to deliver a product I can take pride in. I look forward to working with you, and appreciate the opportunity to do a good job for you.
I'm currently certified as a bilingual educator for grades EC-6, but have been certified by Berlitz Int. as an English instructor for both individuals and corporations. I also hold a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminology, and an Education degree from Region 4.
