Translation is more than being fluent in both languages. It is about being able to express thoughts eloquently and understanding how conversational, grammatical and colloquial subtleties transpose between languages and between natural intuitions of the native speakers.
Translation should be treated with no less care than writers work, despite its tasks being strictly determined by the original document.
Born and grew up in the Balkans, and having had the privilege to spend twenty years in Australia, I have learned the English language through live verbal and written interaction with people from around the globe. At the moment I work as an online marketing entrepreneur. I also write SEO optimized articles so my translations can be tailored to maintain the potential search engine ranking factors from the original text. Besides English and Serbian I am also fluent in Russian.
The main language of former Yugoslavia used to be known as Serbo-Croatian. Nowdays , for reasons of political rather than linguistic nature, Serbian, Croatian, and Bosnian are classified as individual languages. The differences between the newly established standards , although minor , might be important in communication with people from the Balkans.
My service is of equally high quality in all current local versions of the language, in both its "ekavski" and "ijekavski" variations and in both latin and cyrilic scripts.
The writing style can be adjusted to match the style of the original text.
