English to Spanish Translation Professional Cuauhtémoc Juárez

Member since May 13, 2013

I am an English/Spanish instructor and translator with four years of experience seeking employment in the online translation industry. I was raised in the lower Rio Grande Valley between the USA and Mexico having grown up in Brownsville, TX and Matamoros, Tamaulipas. I started to become bilingual in my youth, and I have had the opportunity to study and learn on both sides of the Rio Grande for many years now.

I like to read about a wide range of subjects in both languages, and I can understand and write in English and Spanish with equal ease at the appropriate registers. I have a good foundation from which to engage the often wildly different documents one can encounter in this trade. You will find more details of my qualifications and employment in the enclosed CV. I am very proud of being genuinely bilingual.

Currently, I work as a part-time English and Spanish teacher for an American ESL/SSL school which specializes in training professionals in Mexico and South Texas. This has helped me to further improve my language skills. My translations are remarkable for their fluency and clarity.

I have a Master´s Degree from the University of Texas at Brownsville (UTB/TSC), with a minor in Translation Studies. In addition to this, I studied personal computer and vehicle fuel-injection system maintenance at the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT) and at CECATI No. 105. I am also member of the American Translators Association, ATA member # 258199.

I addition, I have at my disposal all the tools I need to perform well as a translator.
