English to Arabic Live Interpretation Professional Eleanor Fulvio
Member since September 22, 2013
My name is Eleanor Fulvio. I have been passionate about studying other languages and cultures since a young age. I first experienced living and interacting entirely in a different language when I participated in a French immersion course in Québec City in high school. Inspired to pursue both an academic and professional future involving languages and cross-cultural communication, I obtained a BA degree in French and Middle Eastern Studies with a concentration in Arabic from Wellesley College in Massachusetts. While at Wellesley, I spent my junior year in France followed by an internship in Rabat, Morocco. I later returned to Morocco on a US State Department Critical Language Scholarship to study Arabic in Tangier. For the past five years, I have been working as a freelance translator for companies and organizations such as Avocats Sans Frontières in Belgium. I also work as a Technical & Marketing Administrator with a French glass manufacturing company where I routinely translate various documents and correspondence in French, Spanish, and English.
