I am a trained legal audio typist, and I am looking for freelance transcription opportunity that will allow me professional growth in my freelance career. I have proven ability to accurately transcribe both audio and video files, while ensuring that I strictly follow clients’ guidelines and adhere to deadlines.
I have experience in transcribing Academic, Business, Legal, Market Research, Government and Non-profit transcriptions. I also do conference proceeding transcription and editing; including Focus group discussions.
I am able to ensure that there is consistency in the work that I deliver, while paying attention to detail. I work autonomously, and have the ability to comprehend and follow instructions that are given to me. My general knowledge is excellent. I read widely and keep up to date with current global issues.
I have over three years’ experience in Research, Legal, Business, Political and general transcription.
My English Language skills are excellent. I have a highly developed understanding of English grammar, punctuation, spelling and syntax.
RESEARCH AND LISTENING SKILLS
I am able to use the internet to research key terms and names that I encounter in my transcription exercises. I have a good ear for audio, and I am able to understand and transcribe files with poor audio quality. I also have a good ear for foreign accents and files where multiple speaker recognition is required
I operate as an Independent Consultant, and I am therefore able to manage my time appropriately in order to meet strict deadlines and balance competing priorities. I am an open-minded and honest communicator and maintain a very good rapport with all my clients.
I have a typing speed of 75wpm, with an accuracy level of over 95%. A confident user of IT with excellent skills in MS Office. I am able to download and install new software.
