I was born in 1978 in the village of Sousel (sub-central region of Alentejo, Portugal) in a maternity which no longer exists.
My childhood and adolescence were lived in hot daydreams. I had a room full of posters of all the amazing places on hearth and a trunk full of books, and it was there – instant stuck inside that place – that I saw the world through reflections of words, writers and my explanation.
In October of 1998, I busted seams, dragged chains, and said goodbye to the only job I ever had, returning to the second act of my life. I rested, traveled and justified ideas, to join (in 2000) on a Degree in Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Évora (UE), city where I live today.
Principal subjects within the Degree: Portuguese Studies, Portuguese and Spanish Studies, Portuguese and English Studies, French and Portuguese Studies, Tourism and Languages, Literatures and Arts, Translation and Linguistics in Information Technology, and Translation and Interpretation, among others.
Later, because my personality demanded it, I took a PhD in Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Évora.
Commonly my perspective of the world as communication between people, is the opposite of "Babel", where, by accident, the consistent abyss between all different languages is an amazing place. "Lost in Translation" is not a thought in my active nerve membrane. I breathe words and languages! Finally I had found myself.
To further underscore my knowledge in the field of translation, I attended a training course in Translation and Linguistics in Metallomechanics between 2001 and 2002.
In 2006, I moved to London where I attended at LSE – Language Center the course English Language and Society 5 (Advanced) which aim was to improve English language skills across a range of speaking, reading, listening and writing activities as well as study in increasingly greater detail aspects of society, politics, economics and media.
Back in Portugal, I received a Professional Credential in Code of Professional Conduct and Business Practices by ATA.
It is my goal to combine my range of experience, qualities, skills, and knowledge as a translator and linguist: meticulous, with an eye for the detail, responsible, and dedicated, in order to submit always a work above maximum average.
